Who we are and what we do

Welcome to Jaffna Medical faculty Overseas Alumni, Australia chapter (JMFOA Australia).

JMFOA- Australia is a Not – for profit association, registered in Australia. It consists of more than 250 medical professionals, alumni of Jaffna medical faculty / Sri Lanka, residing in Australia.

JMFOA Australia’s close collaboration with other chapters ( JMFOA- UK , JMFOA -USA, JMFOA – Canada, JMFOA , New Zealand and JMFOA- Jaffna ) helps expanding its mission go forth towards creating a healthier and happier community .

JMFOA-Australia contributes in various ways to improve health and medical education locally and in Sri Lanka. It provides medical equipment, teaching and training, looks after the wellbeing of Jaffna university students and staff and conducts health education programs.

It acts as a ‘Good Samaritan’, when our neighbours are in dire situation and extends this beyond the border to our homeland, Sri Lanka, where presently focusing the North and East.

JMFOA- Australia is also registered with RACGP as a CPD (Continuous Professional Development) provider for GPs.
