Facilitated fundraising activities for doctors\/doctors’ families in need in Sri Lanka and Australia.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Books and B Barcode Reader<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

We donated textbooks and a bar-code reader to the Jaffna Medical Faculty Library. Upon the librarian’s request, we donated textbooks frequently used by medical students. In addition, a bar-code reader was donated for easy book tracking. We spent more than $2000 on this project.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Global Diabetes Walk<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

World Diabetes Day ( WDD) is the world\u2019s largest awareness campaign. It\u2019s marked yearly on 14th November. Wearing blue and joining in the \u2018 Global Diabetes Walk\u2019 is one of the local events for the diabetes awareness campaign. The walk was memorable and meaningful and was held on 11th November 2023.<\/p>\n

The Theme of the walk this year was;<\/p>\n

\u201cKnow Your Risk ; Know Your Response<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>

Drug and Alcohol Awareness<\/span><\/span><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

Creating awareness of drug and alcohol misuse among the community in Kilinochchi district.<\/p>\n

Funding agency: JMFOA Australia. So far, JMFOA has provided Rs 2.5 million for this project.<\/p>\n
